Job Description:

Baptist Health LaGrange is hiring for a part time (24 hours weekly) Mammo Tech. The Mammography Radiologic Technologist performs mammography exams and procedures, supporting the department's mission to deliver accurate imaging services that exceed patient expectations. Responsibilities include verifying patient information and orders, following established protocols, monitoring patients during exams, using aseptic and sterile techniques, and ensuring radiation safety. The technologist assists radiologists as needed, responds to STAT and routine requests promptly, and uses teach-back methods for patient education. They oversee day-to-day operations of the mammography area, ensure compliance with regulations, maintain equipment including the PACS, and keep a clean, professional workspace. The technologist produces high-quality images with minimal repeats, accurately documents in the EMR, and annotates images per policy and ACR standards. Additional responsibilities include obtaining and recording patient history, updating the EHR and Mammography Information System, printing and distributing required result letters, and completing incident reports as necessary. They also verify charge accuracy and ensure proper billing.

Requirements:

Graduate from accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Current KBMIRT License

Current ARRT Registry

Current ARRT in Mammography (ARRT-M)

BCLS required within 90 days of hire
