The ideal candidate will have experience working in a start-up or private-equity owned environment with prior experience ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, and tax data. The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities. Responsibilities 
 
  - Lead the accounting function, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
 - Oversee all general ledger activities, reconciliations, and journal entries
 - Establish and maintain robust internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance
 - Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury processes
 - Support ERP implementation, ensuring proper integration of procurement, operations, and finance workflows
 - Oversee preparation of management reports, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis to support decision-making
 - Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, tax regulations, and audit requirements; manage relationships with external auditors and advisors
 - Partner with the CFO and FP&A team to provide insight into financial performance, budgets, and long-term forecasts
 - Build and mentor a small accounting team, setting high standards for accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
 
  
 
 Qualifications 
 
  - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related area.
 - 10+ years of progressive accounting and controllership experience, ideally in industrial, manufacturing, or capital-intensive sectors
 - Understanding of US GAAP
 - Demonstrated ability to prepare IFRS-compliant financial statements and manage external audits.
 - Hands-on experience with ERP systems (or ERP implementations), with strong Excel and analytical skills
 - 5+ years experience at an audit and accounting firm and CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred.
 - Proven ability to design and enforce internal controls and financial governance in a scaling business
 - Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
 - Comfortable working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with multiple competing priorities.
 - Relocation - Willingness to relocate within the United States within the next 1 to 2 years.
