Responsibilities:

Join a close-knit radiology team at the state-of-the-artLincoln County Medical Center, which opened its brand-new 70,000-square-foot facility in 2020. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform high-quality diagnostic nuclear medicine testing, including general and cardiac studies, for a diverse patient population in the mountain community of Ruidoso.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnostic Imaging: Perform clinical nuclear medicine studies, including cardiac function and rest/stress perfusion imaging, utilizing advanced gamma cameras and imaging software.

  • Patient Care: Explain complex procedures to patients and families, obtain clinical histories, and monitor for unusual reactions during scans to ensure a "patient-first" experience.

  • Quality Control: Conduct daily equipment calibrations and quality control checks on nuclear medicine instrumentation to ensure diagnostic accuracy.

  • Technical Integration: Manage computer interactions associated with studies, including image processing and enhancement for physician review via the Radiology Information System (RIS).

  • This Position Requires Completion of ARRT (R) or NMTCB Certification
