Overview

Department: Float Pool Shift: Full-Time, Days

The Float Pool LPN provides direct and indirect patient care across multiple units within the facility, ensuring consistent, high-quality nursing care. The LPN utilizes technical and manual skills to meet the psychosocial, physical, and general needs of patients, while effectively communicating with patients, families, and healthcare team members. This role functions under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse (RN).



Responsibilities

    Deliver direct patient care, including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and assisting with activities of daily living, within the scope of LPN practice.

  • Provide care on multiple units as assigned, adapting quickly to different patient populations and unit protocols.

  • Observe, document, and report patient conditions and changes to the supervising RN.

  • Assist with care coordination and patient/family education.

  • Support the RN in implementing and evaluating individualized patient care plans.

  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff.

  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.



Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state license as a Licensed Practical l Nurse.
2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. Minimum one year experience in an applicable setting preferred.

Saint Clare's Health offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $33.00 to $36.62. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
