Director of Facilities

Location - Franklin, TN (CoolSprings area)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Facilities directs and manages multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, including multiple functions of building operations and maintenance for a portfolio of buildings in multiple states and locations. This role works closely with the Operations Team and interacts collaboratively with multiple teams in all phase of facilities management, inspections, repairs, maintenance, renovations and new construction. This role ensures that the company's financial, business and customer service objectives are achieved. This support is crucial to the delivery of the company's mission of helping children achieve a lifetime of great oral health.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS/EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, building trades, or related field.
  • 10 years experience of physical plant maintenance with commercial/corporate real estate.
  • 5+ years leading a facilities team, including oversight of contractors in a multi-location, multi-state environment.


JOB-RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:


  • Expertise knowledge of dental equipment, including installation and operation procedures.
  • Fundamental knowledge of HVAC units, mechanical, electrical equipment, plumbing fixtures, structural facilities and grounds.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering high quality results in a fast paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Proven ability to operate tactically and drive high-level strategic initiatives.
  • Proven ability to improve financial growth or stability of the organization.
  • Exceptional skills in the following: communication, presentation, time management, problem solving, and relationship-building.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, professional writing, time management, and presentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in working with colleagues, other departments, and customers.
  • Ability to work in a fluid, fast-paced environment and remain appropriately detail-oriented.
  • Independent thinker and ability to work autonomously.


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


  • Travel on regular basis between sites up to 75%.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required and be available in response to emergency situations.
