Job Description




As a Security Officer - Overnight Medical Facilities in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing peace of mind for staff, patients, and visitors. You will perform regular patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to situations with professionalism and exceptional customer service. Due to the safety sensitive nature of this role, qualified candidates must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law. This assignment is in a healthcare facility. As such, a tuberculosis (TB) test and certain vaccinations may be required.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Full Time schedule (40 hours) from Midnight to 8:00am

What You'll Do:

  • Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines)

  • Transport deceased patients to the morgue, as needed

  • Assist in escorting patients from helicopter pad (high elevation) to the emergency room

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report activities or incidents that may impact the well-being of individuals or property within the location.
  • Collaborate with staff and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns and/or emergencies.
  • Support access control processes, assisting with visitor management and monitoring entry points according to site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
