The Customer Experience organization is currently seeking a highly skilled, solutions-oriented Yard Manager to join the Customer Experience/Yard Management team.

The Yard Manager is responsible for managing vehicles held in plant shipping yards with quality concerns. They will also work with cross-functional groups and inspection/repair third party providers to achieve efficient and effective repairs on a timely basis.

The selected individual will have experience in managing cross-functionally and possess a broad knowledge of the entire automotive engineering, manufacturing, and quality landscape. The candidate must be a high-energy, hands-on individual with strength of convictions - a self-confident leader who, in part due to his/her personal presence, style, and demeanor, effectively sells ideas and solutions to others. Moreover, this person must have unquestioned integrity.

As part of our company's performance transformation, we're investing in quality improvements and creating a stronger, centralized Customer Experience Organization. Organized into cross-functional teams, it's a unique Stellantis division consisting of manufacturing, engineering, and supplier quality department members who work together to solve product quality issues and reduce warranty claims. The company has defined six different types of quality and set measurable targets for improvement in each category. A commitment to quality impacts every corner of the organization and the Quality teams are empowered to improve customer experience.

Travel is required (1-20% - USA, Canada, Mexico).



  • Plan, prioritize, set goals, and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment
  • Display effective communication skills to support meetings at all levels of the company, including senior leadership
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team environment
  • Lead all activities associated with quality hold property stock for responsible products
  • Lead cross functional team to develop and implement repair processes that ensure vehicles are repaired correctly resulting in a warranty reduction
  • Ensure 100% cost recovery for all quality holds
  • Strong understanding of logistics network and repairing of vehicles in a timely manner
  • Develop and maintain internal databases that track inventory and process audits

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Industrial Management, Operations, Quality, or Manufacturing
  • 2 + years Manufacturing or Customer Experience work experience


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, or a Bachelor Degree in Finance from an accredited university or college
  • MBA from an accredited university or college
  • 5 + years manufacturing experience
  • SAP Enterprise
  • Purchasing experience
  • Knowledge of related databases / Lotus Notes / PRI / Web systems (Broadcast, Rubicon)
  • Proven track record working with inspection / repair companies or similar
  • Assertive and ambitious nature
  • Results oriented
  • Motivated to learn new principles and ideas, and have excitement in applying these new principles


Motivated to make a positive impact in the work environment and on the quality of the products produced.

Position is based at Auburn Hills, MI with as needed travel to the Assembly Plants and Repair Centers
