Job Overview
The Level IV Cath Lab RN is a critical position within our inpatient and outpatient procedural labs, focusing on mechanical and electrical diagnosis and intervention for cardiac patients in the upstate New York region. We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team, offering flexible scheduling options of 36 hours per week, with shifts of 4x10 or 3x12 hours (7am - 5:30pm; 7am - 7:30am). This role requires availability for weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge responsibilities as per unit needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care in our 4 Cath labs and 3 EP labs for both adult and pediatric patients.
- Collaborate with a team of RN staff and CVT professionals to ensure excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Manage pre and post-procedural care in our holding area.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years Cath Lab experience.
- Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications.
- Moderate sedation training.
- Proficiency in dysrhythmia and telemetry.
- Experience with TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchmen procedures.
- Knowledge in Right Heart and Left Heart Hemodynamics, Cardiac Interventions, CTO, PCI, Pericardiocentesis, Vascular Interventions, RotoPro, LVADs, AngioVac, and FlowTriever.
- Mechanical Circulatory Support experience: ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo, and LVAD.
- Structural Heart experience with TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, CardioMEMS, PFO, ASD, VSD, Valvuloplasty, and ASA.
- Critical care or cardiac experience is required.
- Valid NY RN license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cardiovascular certification or RCES.
- Familiarity with device and ablation procedures and equipment.
- EP Lab experience.
