CT Tech - Days/Eves Weekends

This position requires working days, evenings, and weekends (Friday - Sunday), including holidays, on-call, and callback as per unit needs.

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan; strictly adhere to department policy and procedure for patient safety.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
• Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling.
• Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC, including identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• NYS licensure (must obtain prior to starting position).
• Two (2) years of experience.
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY).

• Injection certification preferred; must be willing to complete during the orientation process.
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Level I Trauma Experience - Required, 2 Years
• CT Tech License (NY ONLY) - Required
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) - Required
• Two (2) years experience - Required, 2 Years
• Siemens Scanner Experience - Required, 6 Months
• Epic Experience - Highly desired, 1 Year
