About the Role:

The Pharmacy Director plays a critical leadership role in overseeing all pharmacy operations within a healthcare organization to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services. Minimum Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current and unrestricted pharmacist license in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive pharmacy experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
• Demonstrated experience in managing pharmacy operations within a healthcare setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Board certification in a relevant specialty such as Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) or equivalent.
• Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and pharmacy automation technologies.
• Proven track record of leading quality improvement initiatives and cost containment strategies.
• Strong background in clinical pharmacy services and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of pharmacy operations, including staffing, budgeting, procurement, and inventory control.
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy management and support clinical initiatives.
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and professional development of pharmacy staff to maintain a skilled and motivated team.
• Monitor and analyze pharmacy performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to ensure seamless pharmacy operations.
• Drive initiatives to integrate technology and automation to enhance pharmacy workflow and patient safety.
• Participate in budget planning and financial management to ensure cost-effective pharmacy services.
• Serve as a key member of the healthcare leadership team, contributing to organizational strategy and quality improvement efforts.
