Summary

Account Manager, Rtl Svcs

The Account Manager is a critical role focused on managing projects with precision and excellence. As the primary point of contact for both clients and internal teams, the Account Manager is responsible for ensuring that all projects run smoothly, on time, and within budget. Utilizing best-in-class project management and client relationship skills, they oversee the entire lifecycle of each project, from conception to completion.

The Company is one of North America's leading sales and marketing agencies specializing in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management, and marketing services to manufacturers, suppliers, and producers of food products and consumer packaged goods. The Company services a variety of trade channels including grocery, mass merchandise, specialty, convenience, drug, dollar, club, hardware, consumer electronics, and home centers. We bridge the gap between manufacturers and retailers, providing consumers access to the best products available in the marketplace today.

Responsibilities

    Fully responsible for managing projects with best-in-class (BIC) project management skills, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
  • Communicates project status clearly both internally and externally, and takes diligent notes, distributing them promptly to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Serves as the primary day-to-day contact for core client relationships, acting as a liaison between the client, design, and production teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Efficiently and accurately estimates project scope, including managing and identifying out-of-scope expenses, to ensure accurate budgeting.
  • Keeps an accurate project forecast throughout the year, helping to plan and achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial goals.
  • Collaborates closely with internal cross-functional teams to keep projects on track, leveraging internal processes to drive successful outcomes and ensure team alignment.
  • Manages the photography process, including scheduling photoshoots, coordinating product samples, and collaborating with design to develop detailed photo briefs.
  • Develops clear and strategic briefs for internal artists, effectively translating the client's vision and interpreting provided project assets to ensure successful creative execution.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Indirect Reports
Does not have direct reports but may delegate work to others and provide guidance, direction, and mentoring to indirect reports.

Travel
5% occasional business travel, such as client visits or new business opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications
Education Level: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years revelant experience
  • Project management experience required
  • Client relationship management experience required
  • Experience working with a large team in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in estimating project costs accurately and maintaining an ongoing project budget to achieve profitability and financial targets
  • Experience developing or presenting clear and thoughtful briefs and direction to internal teams
  • Familiarity with packaging, branding, or design-related fields required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and internal teams.
  • Proficient in budgeting and financial forecasting, ensuring projects stay within budget.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive engagement and feedback collection.
  • Maintains a foundational understanding of Daymon's services, capabilities, and processes, actively seeking ongoing learning and professional development.
