Summary Job Description: Pharmacy Informatics Technician Full Time I First Shift Pharmacy Hospital I Lexington, KY The Department of Pharmacy Services of Baptist Health Lexington provides pharmaceutical services to patients across the continuum of care. These services include, but are not limited to verification of medication orders, drug distribution, sterile product preparation, hazardous drug preparation, and utilization of automated dispensing cabinets. Description:
- Administrator for pharmacy automation, including: Omnicell Central Pharmacy Manager (CPM), Omnicell Controlled Substance Manager (CSM), and Omnicell Cabinets.
- Assists with automation and technology systems management, including placement, configuration, testing, monitoring, maintaining, quality assurance, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Provides users and staff with automation consultative support.
- Trains and assesses staff competency with pharmacy automation annually.
- Requests the addition/deletion of medications from the EMR system.
- Coordinates maintenance and service call for the automation equipment.
- Performs workflow assessments and optimization.
- Assists with the management of the smart pump library.
- Assists with controlled substance surveillance audits.
- Maintains quality assurance reports.
Requirements:
- Less than High School.
- 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
- Registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy (KY hospitals), within 30 days of hire date if you are a new registrant. If previously registered, you must have registration upon hire.
- Nationally certified as a Pharmacy Technician.
