Posting Summary
Rutgers University-Camden seeks a Senior Program Administrator Spvr in the Office of Disability Services, reporting to the Interim Dean of Students, responsible for overseeing Disability Services for the Camden campus.
The incumbent interacts with academic departments, advisors, and student service programs; conducts outreach presentations on Disability Services, learning strategies, and other areas of student academic support. Campus Representative regarding disability services for students. Creates, implements, interprets, trains, and assures compliance with University policy regarding services for students with disabilities. Represents the campus and Camden students who request accommodations regarding their disabilities. Acts as the sole campus resource for students with disabilities on campus and at off-campus locations, including interpreting policy, solving conflicts, implementing and communicating changes in policy or procedure, creating new processes and procedures, creating policy with colleagues across the Rutgers University system, interprets regulations, works with New Brunswick and Camden committees on requesting accommodations, distributes accommodation letters to students, implementing accommodations as appropriate, coordinating testing services for students with disabilities, proctoring tests as needed, and serving on campus disability committees. Acts as the campus representative to act on behalf of students with disabilities in advocating for improvements in physical plant, resources, technology, services, and information. Communicates and conducts outreach with the campus community regarding services for students with disabilities and resolves conflicts when requested accommodations are not understood and approved by professors and staff or when students request additional accommodations not listed on their letters. Must keep abreast and aware of ADA changes and updates, and must have an expertise in knowledge of services for students with disabilities and learning theory.

Salary Details Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, within university policy and salary schedules, as well as departmental budgets.

Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Minimum Education and Experience
Requires a Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, education, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience plus a minimum of five years of relevant experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of providing disability support services.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Requires a Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, education, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience plus a minimum of five years of relevant experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of providing disability support services.
Requires experience working with students with learning disabilities, especially reading psychological assessments and developing strategies and accommodations for students with disabilities. Must be available to work occasional evening and weekend hours in addition to the standard workweek. Requires in depth knowledge of disability services and laws and policies regarding services for students with disabilities. Requires excellent computer skills; excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills; ability to multitask under busy office conditions; ability to deal with a variety of situations with discretion and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree. Experience in conducting small group training sessions for staff about disability service compliance and initiatives.
Equipment Utilized
Microsoft Office applications. Will also be proficient in utilizing PeopleSoft, RIAS, and the RUTAdmin system to access student data. Will be familiar with assistive technology devices and software including digital audio recorders, Windows-Eyes, Jaws, Kurzweil 3000, and Dragon Naturally Speaking.
