UST founded UST FinX in 2025 to liberate mid-tier financial institutions from the burdens of legacy technology with the least amount of pain, investing in a strong team to bring to market the first fully managed composable best-of-breed cloud native banking platform. The Fintech model for the mid-tier banks is broken, great individual solutions, but costs and risks associated with a composable, non-integrated eco-system are too high. UST FinX was founded to solve this by taking on the risk and burden of owning the entire stack and be the single point of contact for our clients.

You Are:

A highly experienced Core Banking Subject Matter Expert (SME)/Product Manager with deep expertise in legacy core banking systems such as Jack Henry, FIS, or Fiserv and a strong background in product management, combined with leadership or operational experience within the U.S. community banking and credit union market. This role will play a critical part in guiding a product platform build, modernization strategies, and driving product innovation.

The Opportunity:



  • Serve as a subject matter expert for legacy core banking platforms (Jack Henry, FIS, Fiserv).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps, requirements, and implementation strategies.
  • Provide thought leadership and advisory support on industry best practices, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Engage with internal and client stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical and product solutions.
  • Mentor and guide teams on core banking processes, system integrations, and operational workflows.
  • Support client strategic initiatives to modernize and optimize core banking systems for community banks and credit unions.

  • Represent the organization in client meetings, industry forums, and vendor discussions.



You Will need:



  • At least 12 years of experience in core banking systems, with hands-on expertise in Jack Henry, FIS, or Fiserv platforms.
  • Proven track record in product management, including roadmap development and lifecycle management.
  • Strong leadership or operational experience within community banking or credit union environments.
  • In-depth understanding of U.S. banking regulations, compliance standards, and industry trends, digital banking, product roadmaps, systems integration, API integration, customer journey mapping, competitive analysis/market research experience
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.



Bonus Points If You Have:



  • Familiarity with API integrations and fintech partnerships.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.



Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by local law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York City, or Washington as set forth below.

Role Location: Remote (East Coast-based preferred)

Compensation Range: $116,000 to $174,000

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Part-time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
