About the Opportunity:

The manufacturing engineering internship/co-operative role is a temporary role for students pursuing an education in manufacturing engineering. This role will learn while working on real-life manufacturing engineering projects, also providing administrative support.

Location: Manchester, CT

This role will be onsite 100% of the time.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in manufacturing engineering projects
  • Learn manufacturing processes
  • Assist with changing/updating manufacturing engineering documents
  • Assist with time studies
  • Provides administrative support
  • May interact with other departments

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Attending Post-Secondary Educational Institution pursuing a degree in engineering or related field
  • Passing grade point average
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic skills of any CAD/CAM such as AutoCAD, MasterCAM, CATIA, NX, Solidworks or Pro-E
  • Able to read 2D drawings
  • Knowledge of manufacturing
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Able to work in team environment
  • Able to read, write, and speak in standard English
  • Legally authorized to work in applicable country

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
  • Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
