Title: Sr. System Administrator

Clearance: Secret with TS eligibility

Location: Pensacola, FL (Onsite)

Hours: M-F, 7:00AM-3:30PM

Foxhole Technology is seeking a talented Sr. System Administrator in support of a newly awarded contract. This role supports the secure and efficient flow of CyberNetOps data, contributing directly to mission readiness by developing, maintaining, and enhancing data ingestion and distribution processes using technologies such as Confluent Kafka, Apache NiFi, and RHEL. As a Sr. System Administrator, you will help build and maintain a resilient, scalable, and secure data brokering infrastructure. You will work with a team of engineers and analysts to support data ingestion pipelines, troubleshoot system issues, and contribute to process automation and documentation. Your work will help ensure timely and accurate delivery of cyber data across internal and external mission partners.



Job Description

    Provide administration and maintenance of Linux-based servers (RHEL), ensuring system reliability and uptime.
  • Support enterprise-level services such as Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
  • Implement system updates, patches, and antivirus measures in accordance with DoD STIGs and IAVM policies
  • Manage user accounts and access permissions following established security standards
  • Contribute to the deployment and oversight of RMF-compliant security controls
  • Assist with documentation and sustainment of ATO/IATT packages and eMASS entries
  • Perform system monitoring, log analysis, and root cause troubleshooting of hardware/software issues
  • Maintain detailed records of configurations, system changes, and procedures
  • Support regular data backup and restoration processes
  • Operate and maintain cybersecurity tools such as HBSS, ACAS, and SIEM platforms
  • Collaborate with IT teams across networking, cybersecurity, and support desks to ensure secure, compliant system functionality


Minimum Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience as a System Administrator

  • Current DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II-approved certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE)

  • Experience administering RHEL Linux-based servers, ensuring system reliability and uptime

  • Experience supporting Windows Server environments

  • Experience supporting enterprise services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)

  • Experience implementing system updates, patches, antivirus, and vulnerability remediation in accordance with DoD STIGs and IAVM policies

  • Experience managing user accounts and access permissions in compliance with security standards

  • Experience supporting RMF-compliant security controls, including ATO/IATT documentation and eMASS entries

  • Experience performing system monitoring, log analysis, and root cause troubleshooting

  • Experience operating cybersecurity tools such as HBSS, ACAS, and SIEM platforms

  • Ability to maintain accurate system documentation and configuration records

  • Ability to support data backup and restoration processes

  • Ability to collaborate across IT, cybersecurity, and service desk teams

  • Strong customer interaction, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills



Desired Experience/Certifications

  • Experience with one or more of the following tools: Nutanix, Citrix and SolarWinds.
