Summary:

Responsible for a variety of administrative duties to ensure accurate payroll processing for all employees in compliance with the law, HR, and Payroll policies and procedures.

Responsible for coordinating data, time lines, reporting.

Responsible for providing exceptional customer service.

Position Responsibilities:

* Responsible for independently creating, reviewing and approving payroll processing on time according to predefined schedules following laws and internal policies. Includes, not limited to, approving manual requests and maintaining an on line record of same. Includes processing business expenses, unemployment claims.

* Responsible to work with customer base independently to support payroll and time and attendance needs. Provides on the spot training and mentoring to achieve proper use of Virtua's employee systems.

* Responsible for all communication and processes regarding garnishments (includes, not limited to County Sherriff, Sgt at Arms, IRS,etc), business expenses, banking issues. Works through all discrepancies. Maintains all documentation. Maintains up to date knowledge on changing regulations.

* Participates in HR/Payroll projects including design, testing and implementation of new systems and processes. Participates in quality improvement through suggestions made to increase our service level and efficiency.

* Responsible to create invoices for payroll expenses to send to areas that reimburse Virtua expenses. Independently creates and manages reporting within Peoplesoft.

Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:

2 years previous payroll, HR or finance experience required.

Computer knowledge is necessary.

Strong communication skills.

Detail oriented.

Ability to work independently.

Required Education:

HS graduate.

Accounting classes a plus.

Training/Certifications/Licensure:

CPP desired.

Hourly Rate: $23.13 - $34.79 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant's experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
