The Manufacturing Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining precision machining equipment to produce high-quality components according to engineering specifications. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Job Description (Primary Responsibilities)
  • Set up and operate CNC and manual machines (mills, lathes, grinders) to produce precision parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report any deviations or defects.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize machining processes for efficiency and quality.
Additional Job Description
  • Ability to work with various materials including metals and composites.
  • May rotate between different machines and workstations.
  • Use advanced measuring equipment and maintain calibration standards.

Experience

  • Minimum 1-3 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in CNC programming and machine operation; strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings; strong math and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to precision and accuracy.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The base pay for this position is $55,900.00 to $88,900.00 per year depending on the geographic market.
  • Dependent on the position offered, annual bonuses and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of the compensation package.
