We are looking for a Project Controls and Coordination Analyst (Senior Member of Technical Staff - Technical Project Management). The selected candidate will support NASA's Artemis Science Implementation Team at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. As part of the Implementation Team, you will provide integrated project management and coordination support across the formulation and execution phases of the Artemis Science campaign, helping ensure that planning activities are executed efficiently, risks are proactively managed, and stakeholders remain aligned throughout the mission lifecycle.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of science, engineering, and program execution-supporting lunar exploration objectives by enabling disciplined planning, informed decision-making, and effective coordination across diverse teams.

The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD

What You'll Be Doing

You will work in close collaboration with NASA science, engineering, and program teams to:

  • Coordinate with Artemis Science Team Leads to define task dependencies, milestones, and critical paths, and work with the Project Scheduler to build andmaintainintegrated schedules for the science campaign.
  • Monitor schedule performance, perform variance analysis, and support replanning efforts as needed.
  • Develop project planning data, including organizational charts, roles and responsibilities, deliverableslists, and delivery schedules that define execution plans for the Artemis Science Team.
  • Assistin developing resource estimates and bases of estimate for defined technical and programmatic tasks.
  • Generate andmaintainproject guidance documentation, including planning templates, milestone success criteria, and reporting formats.
  • Support the Artemis Science Team in thetimelydevelopment and delivery of required project documentation.
  • Track technical and schedule progress for science team activities and relevant external program milestones (e.g., Moon-to-Mars milestones).
  • Prepare agendas for coordination meetings, capture action items, and ensuretimelyfollow-up and closure.
  • Assistin the preparation and execution of project milestone reviews.
  • Develop customer status review packages and internal (Goddard Division/Directorate) status briefings.

What You Need to be Successful - Senior Member of Technical Staff - Technical Project Management

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related STEM discipline
  • 3or more years of professional experience in project controls, program coordination, systems engineering support, or related roles
  • Experience supporting complex technical programs, preferably within NASA or other government environments
  • Familiarity with project planning, scheduling, resource tracking, and documentation management
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience preparing briefings and status reports
  • Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and manage competing priorities
  • Willingness to travel occasionally in support of reviews or coordination activities
  • This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

  • Proven experience supporting Artemis, lunar science, or human exploration programs
  • Expertise with NASA project lifecycle processes and milestone reviews
  • Familiarity working with integrated master schedules (IMS) and variance analysis
  • Background coordinating across science, engineering, and program management organizations
  • Experience preparing executive-level status briefings
  • Interest in growing into a leadership role supporting mission planning and execution

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
