Join our dynamic team as a Heating/Cooling Plant In Charge of plant maintenance and play a critical role in maintaing ourcampus's essential services. The In Charge will perform as the Plant Lead worker as assigned. The In Charge will be responsible for the operations,maintaining and scheduling of the maintenance onall plant equipment.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Ensures safe and efficient operation of plant and its associated equipment
  • Assists with personnel management, including the training and oversight of new employees in plant operational procedures
  • Assist and oversees plant personnel and contractors as assigned
  • Maintains plant maintenance supplies and repair parts inventories
  • Oversees readings and makes observations to detect any equipment malfunctions
  • Makes regular inspections of plant equipment
  • Analyzes, interprets data, and communicates recommendations on equipment and systems operations, both verbally and in written reports
  • Responsible for maintaining equipment to prevent failures
  • Adheres to safety protocols and procedures
  • Complies with environmental protection protocols and procedures
  • Works with other individuals and departments/plant locations to coordinate critical services

Compensation:

Starting at $29.00 per hour and commensurate with experience

Required Qualifications:
  • Required Certifications: Forklift, First Aid, Scissor/One Man lifts.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Preferred Certifications: ASOPE 3rd. Class, NIUPE PPOE 3rd.Class or Facilities Operating Engineer.

  • Preferred Experience: Boiler operations, auxiliary equipment maintenance.

Education:
  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
