Job Summary:



Mercury Systems IPS Data Processing business unit is developing sophisticated mission-critical embedded technology to withstand the most rugged environments. We have a career opportunity for an early career electrical on our electrical design team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be mentored by and work with a world class electrical engineering team that involves the complete electrical development life cycle of new products to bring cutting-edge technology to mission-critical aerospace and defense applications. Your talent will be utilized to bridge commercial innovation with defense-grade security to ensure our warfighters and allies have the technological advantage. This role will play a key role as a hardware engineering team member developing and sustaining data storage and transfer systems for the Data Systems Product Line, while contributing directly to hardware development efforts on programs.

Responsibilities Include:



  • Design electronics hardware using modern schematic capture tools
  • Design, develop and test/verify complex circuits, modules or systems to meet customer and market requirements.
  • Support production to resolve manufacturing issues or field failure investigation.
  • Collaborate with the hardware design team to improve processes for design for manufacturing (DFM), design for assembly (DFA) and design for test (DFT) activities.
  • Hand-on individual contributor throughout the development process including schematic design, layout, design verification testing, validation and optimization of hardware design and integration.


Required Qualifications:



  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Master's preferred)
  • Typically requires 2-4 years electrical engineering experience including schematic and PCB design process
  • Experience in the use of digital test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and high-speed oscilloscopes.
  • Experience or knowledge in highspeed digital interfaces such as PCIe, HDMI, Ethernet and SATA.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical engineering development process.
  • This position requires you to have or obtain a government security clearance in the future. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • An active DoD secret clearance
  • Knowledge of military test standards, such as MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-704.
  • Excellent analytical & critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge in engineering tools such as Cadence Concept, Cadence Capture, Allegro PCB Designer, SPICE, HyperLynx, Mentor Graphics Valydate.

This is a hybrid position and requires the candidate to live in a commutable distance to one of the following Mercury Systems Locations.

Pay Grade Range
Fulltime Equivalent Job Grade Salary Range for this position
* $65,200.00 - $130,400.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD or TX, and all remote employees
* $73,000.00 - $146,000.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH or MA
* $76,900.00 - $153,900.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in NJ
