GARNEY CONSTRUCTION

The Administrative Coordinator / Front Desk Administrator located in North Kansas City, MO., is responsible for supporting daily office operations and serving as the first point of contact for visitors and employees. This role helps ensure the office remains professional, organized, and welcoming while providing administrative and operational support to the office team. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in maintaining a well-run office environment.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING



    • Greet and assist visitors, manage front desk operations, and ensure proper visitor procedures are followed
    • Answer and route phone calls, manage voicemail, and monitor shared inboxes
    • Support a clean, organized, and professional office environment, including common areas, conference rooms, kitchen, and lobby
    • Assist with office supply and kitchen supply inventory and ordering
    • Support onboarding of new hires by helping prepare workspaces and welcome materials
    • Assist with coordination of office events, meetings, and internal activities
    • Manage office communications such as lobby displays and basic office signage
    • Provide administrative support, including:

      • Assisting with Certificates of Insurance (COIs)
      • Supporting license tracking and renewals
      • Assisting with expense/credit card administration


    • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams as needed to support office operations
    • Perform other administrative and office support duties as assigned




WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous experience in an administrative, office coordination, or front desk role preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Professional communication and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail and reliability
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, in-office environment
  • Proficient with basic office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
