Wieland is hiring a Preventive Maintenance Technician. The Preventive Maintenance Technician will be responsible for implementing proactive reliability maintenance, PRM. Furthermore, this position will be responsible for the maintenance of all gas-related equipment (natural gas, nitrogen, hydrogen, mixed gas). He supports the Maintenance Supervisor in processing Maintenance Orders in SAP and sourcing for needed spare parts.

This role is located in Wheeling, IL, and will be fully on-site.

Hourly Pay Range: $28 - $43/hr plus 3rd shift differential

Work Schedule: 3rd shift- 10 PM - 6 AM

Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly

Responsibilities

Preventive Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

    Conducting PRM measurement and derive improvement measures from it.
  • Ensure, all gas related equipment (natural gas, nitrogen, hydrogen, oven heating etc.) is in good condition.
  • Support Maintenance Supervisor Processing Maintenance Work Order through SAP PM.
  • Support Maintenance Department sourcing for needed spare parts (on technical side).
  • Carry out all the jobs according to applicable standards, like OSHA, ANSI.
  • Keep personal workspace clean and tidy at all times.
  • Report any suspicious activity or strangers on company property.
  • Responsibility to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform all action in respect to their own safety and the safety of their co-workers.
  • Report all incidents immediately (including near-miss situations).
  • Comply with all environmental standards and policies.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Preventive Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

  • Knowledge or experience in PRM (vibration measurement (e.g., ISO 18436-2 Vibration Analyst Certificates Category I-IV), thermography, oil analysis, ultrasonic leak detection, etc.) is an added plus.
  • Basic knowledge in SAP modules PM and MM is an added plus.
  • Advanced English language skills, both in speaking and writing, are mandatory
  • Ability to work under pressure and high stress levels required.
  • Good computer and data entry skills.
  • High school diploma needed.
  • Experience in maintaining gas-related equipment is needed.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in an industrial maintenance environment needed.
  • Previous exposure to PRM is an added plus.
  • Previous experience in heavy metal or similar type of manufacturing is beneficial
  • Personal Protective Equipment (e.g., safety glasses, electrostatic discharge jacket, earplugs, etc.)
  • Occasionally lift up to 50lbs Maximum.
