Job Summary:
As the Visual Environment Planning & Store Support Specialist, you will manage store setup plans for new and remodeled locations with the recently launched Journeys and Journeys Kidz 4.0 store design concept, including overseeing project plans, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors, analyzing store layouts to develop store-specific display plans
(planograms),and maintaining a master list of store criteria. Additionally, the position provides ongoing support to stores, addressing visual merchandising needs, and driving improvements to the in-store experience. Responsible for tracking project expenses and reconciling budgets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain a Grand Opening Store Environment and Marketing spreadsheet that
will act as a project plan for all visual support items and display space planning for new and renovated stores across all concepts including Journeys and Journeys Kidz 4.0. - Analyze new and renovated store layouts and create planograms that calculate the
hardware and fixture assortment necessary to achieve the target display capacity and sales plan in all 4.0 stores. - Create and manage individual store opening project plans for all internal and vendor
partner deliverables related to hardware and display space planning, visual merchandising, sign kit fulfillment, and graphic installs for all 4.0 stores. - Create distro lists for all visual signage, promo items, and other items required to open all
new and renovated 4.0 stores. - Manage the Store Criteria Master list of all sites across six distinct store types. Review
preliminary store drawings and update with changes: New Stores, Remodels, Relocations. - Develop innovative ways to track criteria, including display capacity, for the new JY 4.0
concept that will drive space planning from multiple departments. - Support and facilitate barricade graphics & window wraps: Review/approve estimates,
track timing, traffic control. - Provide store access to current planograms and revise documents to include updated
images and information for each store's specific criteria to align with changes in seasonal VM strategies. - Project expenses, audit and submit invoices, and reconcile accruals for department budget
lines related to 4.0 store opening support. - Provide store support to any locations in the chain that reach out via email and portal
feedback, which include but are not limited to: sign replacements, visual merchandising questions & clarification on visual direction, special requests for displays, and VM strategy suggestions. of what Abel does, not Kevin: Analyze store layouts, sales data, and SKU targets to create planograms and calculate hardware and fixture requirements for 4.0 stores. - Coordinate and collaborate to enhance video training content for seasonal strategies and
visual standards to improve execution and field knowledge of company initiatives. - Support and collaborate on visual projects, strategies, and test initiatives identified to elevate the in-store experience and drive traffic.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, Design or Art preferred
- 1+ years retail store management experience, retail merchandising experience or other varied retail experience
- Strong organization skills
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Understanding and knowledge of visual merchandising fundamentals
- Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Photoshop, InDesign and Mac operating system
- Proficient in digital photography and editing
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 30-50 pounds for display shifting and moving VM items
