As this is a hybrid role, working out of our Creative Studios in Westlake, Ohio, we will focus on candidates who reside in Northeast Ohio for the Summer of 2026.
American Greetings is searching for a highly energetic, motivated, and creative individual to fill the role of a Product Design Intern with a focus on pop-up greeting cards and innovative new products to the celebrations category. In this role, you will have an opportunity to apply your design and technical skills to unique real-world products and corporate initiatives including our award-winning Magic Moments product line. During the internship you will learn our processes, systems, and tools. In addition, you will have a rare opportunity to learn from a team of best-in-class paper engineers, designers, and artists and apply those skills to help develop brand-new products for the marketplace. The team you will be working with is focused on developing concepts for new products, along with planning and building pop-up focused cards for our Magic Moments and core product lines within a variety of seasonal and everyday celebration occasions. Our ideal candidate will possess creativity, illustration and drawing skills, dimensional thinking, graphic design skills, exhibit strong concepting abilities, along with curiosity and optimism to help the team make awesome products that delight our consumer. **To be considered for this role, you must include a URL Link or PDF of your portfolio.** Experience Required: * Interest or experience in dimensional product design, packaging, or industrial design * Illustration and visual story telling skills * Possessing drawing, excellent design, color, and layout sense, with a strong creative problem-solving ability * Exhibit solid understanding of specific software processes and procedures to complete job functions within a department (e.g. working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office) * Relevant 3D Software and AutoCad background are both a plus * Works well in a team environment and approaches tasks with a positive, solution-oriented, and collaborative attitude * Strong communication skills * Innovative thinking and problem-solving abilities | |
