Operations Analyst
Overview The Operations Analyst plays a key role in supporting daily operations across the shipyard, with a focus on janitorial services, Bilge Plant, Hazmat Facility, Maintenance painters, Maintenance Carpenters, and Construction Mechanics who help keep the submarine shipyard running safely and efficiently. This position works closely with directors, managers, supervisors, planners, and frontline crews to track performance, analyze work processes, and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and compliance. The Operations Analyst is responsible for collecting and reviewing operational data, preparing reports, and helping translate field activities into actionable insights that support scheduling, staffing, material coordination, and preventative maintenance efforts. By understanding how each trade contributes to shipyard operations, the analyst helps ensure resources are used effectively, work is completed on time, and standards for safety and cleanliness are consistently met. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working in an industrial environment, and able to communicate effectively with both management and skilled trades to support continuous improvement across the shipyard.
