Adjunct Faculty Pool in Mathematics JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Department of Applied Mathematics at Florida Polytechnic University seeks candidates who have demonstrated commitment to student success and possess outstanding teaching skills. Applicants must provide evidence of highly successful college-level teaching. JOB DESCRIPTION

Position responsibilities include:

  • Teaching precalculus, calculus, and/or introductory statistics
  • Working collaboratively in highly coordinated courses
  • Maintaining an up-to-date Canvas course site
  • Performing all administrative tasks related to course instruction required by the university
  • May include teaching courses at 8:00AM or after 4:00PM

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • A master's degree or doctorate degree in mathematics, statistics, or a closely related discipline
  • Evidence of effective college-level teaching
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Prior experience teaching college-level mathematics

COMPENSATION:Commensurate with experience.
