Job Description:

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Global Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead procurement strategy for our Aerospace & Defense division. This role is responsible for optimizing supplier sourcing, managing risk, and driving innovation to support our business objectives. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to ensure supply chain resilience and deliver best value for complex components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute long-term sourcing strategies for key categories (e.g., avionics, composites, machined parts)
  • Identify, select, onboard, and manage relationships with strategic suppliers
  • Lead complex contract negotiations (Master Agreements, Statements of Work)
  • Drive cost reduction and value optimization initiatives
  • Mitigate supply chain risks and ensure regulatory compliance (ITAR, AS9100)
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Legal, Finance, and Program Management
  • Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular business reviews
  • Support new product development and launch readiness

  • Uphold confidentiality, ethics, and compliance with all laws and regulations
  • Foster continuous improvement and lean transformation in procurement processes
  • Share best practices and support team development within the strategic sourcing group

    Requirements/Qualifications:

    Qualifications:

    • 20+ years' experience in global strategic sourcing, preferably in Aerospace & Defense
    • Proven expertise in supplier selection, risk management, contract negotiation, and financial analysis
    • Strong relationship management and cross-functional collaboration skills
    • Demonstrated success in driving change and building stakeholder credibility
    • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office (Excel), and MS Projects; Microsoft Dynamix is an asset
    • Professional certifications (ISM C.P.M, CPSM, APICS CSCP/CPIM) preferred
    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field

    The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $91,000-$232,000.*

    *Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
