Job Description




As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver in Boston, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a busy food and beverage location. You will conduct routine interior and exterior patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage incidents, and provide customer-focused communication with employees and visitors. This is a driving post, so you will use a vehicle to complete patrol routes and respond to security-related concerns. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the production, warehouse, and office areas, as well as around the exterior perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify abnormal conditions.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, monitoring visitor check-in and/or check-out processes, and directing individuals to the appropriate locations.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems as assigned, and communicate observations and/or concerns using radios, phones, and written reports.
  • Complete shift documentation including patrol logs, incident reports, and activity reports with clear, factual details.
  • Support shipping and receiving and/or dock operations by observing traffic flow, reporting congestion or unauthorized access attempts, and assisting with driver and visitor directions as permitted by site policy.
  • Perform vehicle and/or trailer checks as directed by site policy, documenting findings and escalating concerns through the proper channels.
  • Operate in a variety of working environments that may include indoor production areas, outdoor perimeter routes, variable temperatures, and exposure to noise and odors common to food and beverage locations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
