Purpose of the Role The Workface Planner provides advanced planning and coordination expertise to support safe, efficient, and predictable construction execution across Worley projects. The role bridges engineering, procurement, and construction by translating project scope into executable work packages that align with customer objectives, contractual commitments, and Worley's purpose of delivering a more sustainable world. Through disciplined planning and data-centric execution, the role enables productivity, schedule certainty, and sustainable project outcomes across the asset life cycle. Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage detailed workface plans and construction work packages that support safe, efficient, and coordinated field execution. Integrate engineering deliverables, material availability, and construction sequencing to ensure work is released in a ready-to-build state. Apply advanced planning expertise to improve predictability, productivity, and schedule adherence while supporting cost-conscious execution. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to enable integrated, end-to-end project delivery. Support Worley's sustainability ambition by promoting efficient resource utilization, reduced rework, and responsible construction practices. Analyze workface constraints and proactively identify risks and opportunities impacting safety, schedule, cost, or environmental performance. Make independent technical planning decisions within defined scopes, escalating complex or unusual matters as appropriate. Provide technical guidance and coordination to assigned personnel to ensure consistent application of workface planning standards and processes. Contribute to continuous improvement of planning systems, processes, and digital tools, assisting others and resolving planning-related issues. Communicate effectively with stakeholders through participation in planning reviews, reports, presentations, and execution readiness discussions
Qualifications / Skillset
University degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent trade qualification supported by extensive relevant experience. Advanced knowledge and specialized expertise in workface planning, construction sequencing, and execution readiness within energy, chemicals, or resources projects. Demonstrated ability to translate engineering scope and data into executable work packages that support safe, efficient, and sustainable construction. Strong understanding of construction contracts, project controls, and asset life cycle considerations in complex project environments. Proven capability to evaluate planning decisions with consideration for financial, environmental, and social impacts consistent with Worley's sustainability goals. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence multidisciplinary teams and align stakeholders. High proficiency with construction planning systems, processes, and digital tools, with the ability to support troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
