PRIMARY PURPOSE CNA is hiring for a Network Administrator I in the Chief Information Office (CIO). CNA is an organization dedicated to the safety and security of our nation. This position will support in this mission by troubleshooting and administering network and computer operations infrastructure and help to implement network security procedures. JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Security+ certification highly preferred. Additional industry credentials-such as the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and foundational knowledge of Zscaler preferred. Experience: Minimum 2 years strong IT support experience including troubleshooting network hardware (network interface cards, hubs, network ports, cabling) and connectivity issues via the desktop (ipconfig, ping, telnet, ssh, etc.). Skills: Foundational understanding of network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls with ability to work with core networking concepts including DHCP, DNS, subnet masking, and NAT. Ability to perform basic tasks in network operating systems like Cisco IOS, NXOS, and FortiOS, and support Windows and legacy environments. Ability to configure/harden desktop and server operating systems. Knowledge of patch management tools; ability to help connect and configure Cisco equipment. Must have ability to work collaboratively with team members with strong customer service skills. Interacts effectively with internal users and vendors; strong organizational skills with ability to write clear, concise, and accurate documentation. Ability to provide training; show initiative in learning new technologies. Good oral and written communications skills with ability to communicate clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences. Other: Able to lift up to 50lbs (e.g. computer equipment), able to walk (to end user workstations) and bend (as needed to install or connect hardware). Support after-hours maintenance when required. This position is onsite, in-person and may be eligible for hybrid work arrangements at the discretion of the Supervisor. Employees may be required to work at CNA headquarters or other work locations resulting in changes to the scheduled telecommuting or hybrid work arrangements. Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain top-secret security clearance. --
