Job Summary: The Logistics Analyst will perform the clerical functions of the traffic department. This role assists the logistics team in preparing shipping documents, correspondence and budget management. This role supports the traffic department in delivering products safely, on time and within budget. |
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Prepares bill of ladings and DOT HAZMAT paperwork for shipments
- Sets up GPS impact recorders, manages recorder inventory, and maintains records of previous shipments
- Organizes new orders, change orders and customer site documents from sales
- Maintains an organized system for drawings and department correspondence
- Prepares requests for quotes to vendors
- Collects outstanding receiving paperwork and inspection reports from customers
- Adapts easily and quickly to a rapidly changing environment
- Customer service via phone and email
- Utilizes strong computer and communication skills
- Assists logistics team with other functions including, but not limited to: certificates of insurance, purchase orders, invoices, master procurement agreements, leasing contracts, vendor management, expediting, safety initiatives, tracking customer specific requirements, shipment schedule, traffic metrics, tracking reports, SAP transactions, railroad shipments, specialized truck shipments and legal loads
- Manage GPS fleet including setting up all customers' access to the new portal, creating a new SOP, assisting all customers & channel partners with questions on the new portal, tag and ID all recorders for better inventory turnover
- Coordinate pickup and delivery of transformer accessorial loads, including selecting an appropriate accessory load carrier based on price, quality of service, workload of shipping floor personnel
- Act as backup to send out customer receiving papers and trace reports
- Manage green initiative of recycling impact recorders to volunteers

Required Education / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field desired, but may consider just an Associate's Degree.
- 2-4 years' experience in related field
Preferred Education / Experience
- Six Sigma Certification
- Supply Chain related certifications
Key Working Relationships Traffic, Supply Chain, Shipping and Sales Physical Demands Must able to lift 15 lbs. Be on the production floor 15% of the time and walk across plant multiple times per day Working Conditions Office and manufacturing facility. Approx. 15% of time on production floor |
