Job Summary: The Process Specialist ensures the development and maintenance of robust injection molding processes This requires an advanced level of understanding in injection molding machines, molds, auxiliary equipment as well as the process of making these items work in unison. This position is required to make decisions involving quality, job assignments, and rejected production. Work interdepartmentally to fix on going issues with molds and machines. Required to promote a safe work environment and work with/train others to improve their abilities to handle day-to-day operations and decision making. This position is responsible for leading the processing team and answering for the decisions they make for all molds. This position reports to the Molding Manager. Leaders: Leaders are expected to create a safe work environment through implementation and commitment to the Safety & Health - Vision, Values and Mission and the Safety Principles of Conduct. Promote safety by following company and site safety policies and procedures, responding to safety non-conformance by coaching to correct behaviors and encouraging and support employees by attending employee safety meetings and recognition of safe behaviors. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
