Job Description




As a Security Officer FrontDesk Driver Security Clearance in Elkridge, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location as a Front Desk Officer, supporting access control and security-related screening while delivering standout customer service. You will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage badges, maintain logs, and communicate timely updates to site partners. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, and you will bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every interaction.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Operate the front desk post by greeting and directing visitors, employees, and contractors while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Manage access control at entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor logs in accordance with site requirements.
  • Coordinate with site contacts to validate appointments, deliveries, and contractor access before granting entry.
  • Monitor security-related systems from the front desk, such as cameras, alarms, and communication tools, and report irregular activity per site procedure.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify the appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when required.
  • Document security-related activity, incident details, and shift events using written reports and electronic systems as required by site policy.
  • Support property rules by assisting with package, badge, and key control processes as assigned at the front desk.
  • Communicate clearly with employees, visitors, and management while escalating concerns through the chain of command.
  • Participate in briefings and follow post orders related to controlled areas, restricted information, and facility protocols common to aerospace and defense environments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
