Job Description




As a Security Officer - Financial Site Patrol Weekdays in Saint Paul, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will complete routine rounds, remain highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, professional communication. You will help to deter incidents by observing activity, documenting details, and supporting visitors and staff with strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial institution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notification of management, and coordination with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points, including lobby areas, entrances, drive-up areas, parking lots, and around ATM and cash handling zones as assigned.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, help to deter unauthorized entry, and verify identification, appointments, and/or access authorization in accordance with location policies.
  • Observe and report unusual activity, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations, and complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other security-related documentation.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems such as video surveillance, alarms, radios, and access control equipment when assigned, and promptly report malfunctions or irregularities.
  • Provide an Armed Universal presence through high-visibility patrol and professional interaction, assisting with customer questions, directions, and general assistance while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Support opening and closing procedures as assigned, including checking doors, gates, and restricted areas, and reporting unsecured conditions or maintenance issues that could impact operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
