As a Security Officer - Flex - Tech Site in Los Indios, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to requests, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors while delivering standout customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, production or lab spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to identify hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, check identification and/or access credentials, and help manage visitor processing in accordance with site policies.
  • Observe and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or operational concerns, escalating issues through the chain of command as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with building alarms, evacuations, and shelter-in-place procedures as directed.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, access control, and alarm panels, reporting system issues and initiating response per post orders.
  • Complete routine documentation such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs with clear, accurate details.
  • Provide directions and general assistance, including supporting conference rooms and high-traffic lobby areas during peak arrival and departure times.
  • Perform checks of doors, gates, and restricted areas to verify they are secured per site policy and to report deficiencies for corrective action.
  • Coordinate with Allied Universal supervision and site contacts regarding schedule changes, special events, deliveries, and other activities that may affect post operations.
  • Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts by maintaining presence, conducting patrols, and reporting observed concerns.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site guidelines related to confidentiality, information handling, and workplace conduct in a technology-focused location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
