Job Description




As a Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol in DAKOTA CITY, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter incidents. You will communicate clearly with team members and site contacts, document security-related activity, and respond to requests with strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to on-site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking lots, loading docks, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at entrances and vehicle gates by verifying identification, managing visitor sign-in, issuing temporary badges when directed, and directing arrivals to approved locations.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras, alarm panels, and/or other monitoring systems when assigned, and communicate observed issues to the appropriate site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching assistance, documenting actions taken, and completing required reports.
  • Perform truck, trailer, and delivery area observations such as checking inbound and outbound traffic flow, noting seal information when required by site policy, and reporting irregularities.
  • Support enforcement of site rules for restricted areas, photography limitations, and prohibited items by providing clear directions and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
  • Coordinate with plant operations, maintenance, and management during routine activities and special events to support orderly movement of people and vehicles.
  • Document patrols, inspections, and incident activity using handwritten logs and/or electronic reporting tools according to post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
