As a Security Officer - Hospital in Springdale, AR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence, and help monitor entrances, corridors, and exterior areas for security-related concerns. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting using site tools. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to hospital staff, patients, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, visitor issues, and facility alarms, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify hazards, and report maintenance or operational concerns.
- Monitor access points and controlled areas, verifying authorization and directing patients and visitors to appropriate destinations according to site procedures.
- Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in a timely manner using site-required systems and/or Allied Universal reporting tools.
- Observe for and report suspicious behavior, unsecured doors, or unusual conditions, escalating concerns through the established chain of command.
- Assist with crowd control and line management during peak visiting hours, special events, and/or emergency department surges as directed by site procedures.
- Support emergency response activities such as evacuation support, shelter-in-place coordination, and securing impacted areas when appropriate, while coordinating with hospital staff and responding agencies.
- Use radio communications and other approved devices to maintain situational awareness, request assistance, and coordinate responses across the location.
- Provide guidance and de-escalation support during conflict situations, helping to reduce disruptions to patient care and hospital operations.
- Perform entrance, hallway, and common-area presence assignments as needed, including monitoring for prohibited items per site policy and notifying appropriate personnel when found.
- Participate in required training, briefings, and post orders review to maintain familiarity with healthcare location procedures, privacy expectations, and customer service standards.
Minimum Requirements: - Hospital vaccines are required.
- The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
