We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Data and Risk Analyst to support financial modeling, risk analysis, and strategic decision-making across our clinic system. This role will work closely with finance, sales, operations, and clinical leadership and offers a unique opportunity to move beyond traditional insurance frameworks and apply your expertise to real-world innovation in provider-based care delivery.

At Frontier, we eliminate traditional fee-for-service claims through our Direct Primary Care model and Direct Pay referral system, generating rich clinical, engagement, and cost datasets ideal for forward-thinking actuarial work. This position is ideal for a person interested in hands-on healthcare analytics, real-world impact, and working outside of a traditional insurance environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain financial and actuarial models that support Frontiers model of reducing overall cost of care and improved health outcomes among self-insured employers.
    • The ideal candidate will help drive insights behind outcomes such as percentage cost savings year over year, ER/Urgent Care claims reduction, high-cost patient reduction, and clinic utilization
  • Support savings guarantee tracking and validation and develop forecasting tools to support contractual savings guarantees.
  • Design or vet ROI methodologies across new employer segments
  • Assist in benchmarking Frontier's results vs. traditional plan cost structures
  • Contribute to pricing for new products (e.g., Frontier Rx, new employer locations)
  • Evaluate clinical and operational performance metrics (e.g., engagement, utilization, specialty diversion)
  • Analyze utilization, claims-equivalent data, and population health trends
  • Partner with leadership to inform budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategy
  • Communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including clinical, operational, and external customer teams
Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of actuarial, risk underwriting, and/or healthcare analytics experience
  • Experience in healthcare, provider systems, health insurance, or related fields
  • Medical billing/coding knowledge - Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPCS, and Revenue Codes, with working knowledge of claim submission and coding accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills (Excel required; SQL, Python, or R preferred)
  • Ability to translate complex analyses into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Provider-side analytics
  • Value-based care or population health
  • DPC, ACOs, or alternative payment models
