Specifically, we are looking for aTS/SCI cleared Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) - Senior to support this mission at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. Responsibilities: As an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) - Senior you will provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the Task Order. Your responsibilities include:
Plans and leads RMF technical implementation activities for complex C2ISR information systems and networks, establishing comprehensive security authorization strategies.
- Architects the development of technical security architectures and control implementations that form the basis of detailed Security Authorization Packages.
- Drives the systematic integration of RMF processes into acquisition and systems engineering lifecycles by designing and overseeing the technical implementation of security controls.
- Functions as a technical expert in providing the technical content and justification for obtaining IATTs, ATOs, and ATCs for C2ISR information systems.
- Oversees security control assessments, ensuring proactive alignment of technical implementations with technological system requirements and operational objectives.
- Evaluates the overall effectiveness of security control implementations, identifying trends, and recommending major technical changes to enhance security posture and RMF compliance.
- Provides expert RMF implementation insights that enable continuous mission-critical infrastructure security validation through robust technical solutions.
- Mentors and supervises journeyman and junior ISSEs, fostering skill development and ensuring consistency in RMF technical compliance and adherence to best practices.
- Leads collaboration with key stakeholders, including cybersecurity architects, systems engineers, and authorizing officials, to align RMF technical implementations with broader C2ISR security objectives.
- Develops and refines strategic approaches for RMF technical control optimization and automation.
- Safeguard sensitive and critical information systems
- Proactively research and mitigate new and evolving technological threats
- Research and stay current on newly released threat prevention strategies from vendors and research orgs (CISA, NIST, MITRE, SANS, ISACA)
- Support and assist official Cyber Operational Readiness Assessment (CORA), IG, and other official audits, inspections, and investigations
- Establish, update, and enforce security classification guides and assist with the development of official governance
- Develop and maintain operational security and information disclosure reporting guides
- Develop, maintain, and enforce Continuous Monitoring plan and program IAW NIST 800-137
- Periodically review security tactics with mission essential capabilities
- Initiate baseline and gap analysis for Cyber Operational Readiness Assessment (CORA) and schedule integrated cybersecurity solutions
- Implement and enforce Supply Chain Risk Management (800-161) with acquisition processes
- Assist with the development and maintenance of program manuals, procedure documents, operational security, and information disclosure reporting guides
- Develop the capability for automatic assimilation of scans, STIGs, and security control matrices with AI and machine learning for analysis, remediation, and cATO capability readiness
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the CCMD level;
- Minimum of 6 years' experience with a BS/BA or 4 years' experience with a MS/MA or 2 years' experience with a PhD. or 10 years' experience w/o degree or 8 years' experience with AS/AA Degree
- A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level
- US citizenship is required
- DoD 8140 role for WRC: 631; Element: CS; Work Role: Information Systems Security Developer; Proficiency Level: Intermediate
Desired Qualifications:
- DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment.
Work Environment:
- Location:Pope Army Airfield, NC
- On-site expectations: Full-time on-site presence required for equipment management and asset tracking
- Travel:May require occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites for logistics coordination and facility assessments

Target Salary Range
$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
