Description

Leidos' Defense Sector is seeking a Financial Data Analyst with data analytics and automation background and strong knowledge of Python, PowerBI, AI/ML, and data modeling. In this role, you will be responsible for the program financial aspects on the Sentinel program within the Decision Advantage Solutions (DAS) Business Area and Multi-Domain Solutions (MDS) Division.This position reports directly to the DABA Finance and Business Operations Manager with the Defense Sector.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of program dashboard in PowerBI.
  • Provide financial data analytics for the program by leveraging prior knowledge of AI/ML, Python programming, and data modeling.
  • Program life-cycle activities such as project setup/ maintenance, invoicing support, accruals, financial projections, subcontractor tracking, and month end close.
  • Manage and administer a custom Sentinel Earned Value Lite Tool called, "PMX".
  • Development and maintenance of Estimates at Completion (EAC)s.
  • Responsible for a set of TDPs (Technical Direction Plans) within the PMX system, which includes TDP statusing, TDP EACs and forecasting
  • Significant interaction with the Program Managers, and may involve interaction with Ops/Line Management, Finance personnel, Contracts personnel, Procurement, senior technical personnel, and various other functional or support organizations.
  • Implement business process reengineering improvements within the Sentinel Finance Team aiding in aspects such as invoicing and various other areas.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline and 2+ years' related experience in data analytics and financial program control.Additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong data analysis skills including Python programming, AI/ML, and data modeling.
  • Detail oriented, independent worker, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills
  • Government contracting industry experience with prior knowledge of multiple contract types, such as FFP, LOE, CPFF, and T&M
  • US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence
