Schedule:
Full Time (36 hours); 12- hour rotating shifts, weekends, on-call


Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) to join our Emergency Medicine team at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. The successful candidates will play a vital role in providing comprehensive medical care to patients in our dynamic and fast-paced emergency department.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and physical examinations.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures and order appropriate laboratory tests and imaging studies.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians.
  • Provide timely and compassionate medical care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with institutional policies and regulatory standards.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a Physician Assistant Program
  • License: Maryland Physician Assistant license; NCCPA Board-certified
  • Maryland CDS (prescription) and DEA (narcotics) licensure required
  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS
  • Experience: 2-years of Emergency room work experience strongly preferred. 1 year of ED experience required.
  • Provider Enrollment, Chain and Ownership Systems (PECOS) enrollment required

Salary Range: Minimum 55.81/hour - Maximum 86.51/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
