Description

The Regional Reimbursement Leader is responsible for the execution of the reimbursement strategy with the goal of ensuring optimal access with specific products. This role is responsible for leading and managing activities of Access & Reimbursement Managers within a regional footprint. The Regional Reimbursement Manager will be responsible for leading the team towards the achievement of established client goals, meet regional metrics/service level requirements, and ensuring all goals are met compliantly and in a fiscally responsible manner. The Regional Reimbursement Manager will participate in select client, national, regional, and local strategic meetings, as well as lead meetings with their respective team.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Hire, motivate and coach field reimbursement team to meet goals and objectives through influencing compliant behavior.
  • Lead field reimbursement team to ensure goals are met to support product access within targeted accounts.
  • Work with Field Reimbursement & Access Managers on a consistent basis, evaluating coaching and directing local business plans/presentations.
  • Attract, coach and retain individuals who will ensure high level performance.
  • Develop plans that effectively translate regional/national strategy.
  • Work with Leadership to define and establish appropriate behaviors and actions that will lead to high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Ability to solve access issues related to both specialty pharmacy and medical benefit products.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity & problem solve.
  • Ability to manage expenses within allocated budgets.

Along with demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness and a results-oriented mindset, the ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum three years of experience as a manager/first line leader with demonstrated leadership and ability to motivate, coach, lead and execute strategy.
  • Minimum seven years of experience in public or private third-party access arena or pharmaceutical industry in sales or managed care supporting a specialty or biologic product.
  • Cardiology, Endocrinology, Rare Disease experience preferred.
  • Experience working with a patient-centric Hub.
  • Working knowledge of Field Based Reimbursement, Managed Markets, or access/patient services.
  • Knowledge of Managed Care, Government, and Federal payer sectors, as well as Integrated Delivery Network/Integrated Health Systems a plus.
  • Previous experience in launching new specialty pharmaceutical/biologics products or indications a plus.
  • Ability to travel and cover large geography territories.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $180,000k to $187,000k. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
