Description
Acara Solutions is seeking a Test Engineer to join our client on a contract opportunity in Fort Collins, CO.
  • Pay Rate: $48/hour
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week
  • Duration: 6-month contract
  • Work Location: Onsite - Fort Collins, CO
Position Summary
The Test Engineer supports early stages of the product development lifecycle by designing, developing, and executing automated testing processes. This role focuses on developing flexible testing tools, operating precision measurement equipment, and generating data-driven insights to support engineering and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test plans for prototype and production hardware
  • Design and implement automated testing scripts using Octave and Python
  • Prepare test and diagnostic programs for new products and design changes
  • Design and build test fixtures and testing equipment
  • Operate precision, calibrated measurement equipment
  • Analyze test results and present findings to engineering teams
  • Develop specifications and procedures for testing throughout the product lifecycle
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and reliability

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Octave and Python, including writing scripts for automated testing
  • Minimum 5 years of experience using calibrated test equipment
  • Minimum 5 years of experience solving complex technical problems independently
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing test environments
  • Experience with test automation and data collection systems
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
