The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Administrative Assistant will assist with managing pre-health science courses and general program execution for all program scholars in the Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP) and the Northeast Regional Alliance MedPrep HCOP Academy Program (MedPrep). Participating scholars are undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds who generally have varying skillsets and require guidance for education advancement and career exploration. This is a great opportunity to assist with exercising curriculum construction and establishing differentiation skills.

Responsibilities

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for assisting with preparing for the summer SHPEP and NERA MedPrep programs.

Specific responsibilities will require that the Assistant:



  • Supports the preparation of program sessions including classes, special events and other program related activities
  • Completes general clerical duties as assigned by Program Manager and Director
  • Understands the overall goals and objectives of the program


Minimum Qualifications



  • High School Diploma


Preferred Qualifications



  • Full-time CUIMC students with education and training in science and/or mathematics
  • Demonstration of leadership and organization skills is required
  • Previous teaching experience is extremely helpful, but not necessary
