Spanish Language

Tufts University, Department of Romance Studies, is soliciting applications for a Part-Time Lecturer position in Spanish for the academic year 2026-2027 (with the possibility of renewal contingent on program needs and course enrollments) to teach three (3) Spanish language courses in the Fall of 2026 and two (2) in the Spring of 2027. The courses will range in levels from elementary to intermediate Spanish.

Requirements: An M.A. in Spanish, Applied Linguistics or equivalent; Ph.D. preferred. Previous college-level teaching experience is required. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish is essential. Familiarity with language teaching technology and methodology is preferred.

Per the Part-time Lecturer Collective Bargaining Agreement the per course rate for AY 2026-2027 is $9,669.
