Position Summary
The Annual Giving Officer is a data-driven strategist who is responsible for assisting in the execution of Terry fundraising campaigns, strategic departmental/programmatic solicitations, and Terry's recurring gift program. Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, this role develops and executes initiatives for both young alumni and specific departments, providing regular reporting and analysis on key performance metrics. This position coordinates large-scale multi-channel campaigns (direct mail, email, digital, etc.) utilizing data to drive philanthropic support. This position is also responsible for assisting with strategy development, creatives, reporting, and analytics.

Coordinate Multi-Channel Solicitations and Engagement Initiatives

  • Assist with multi-channel annual giving strategy and execution to drive participation and achieve year-over-year growth in dollars raised.
  • Coordinate specific initiatives for young alumni giving in coordination with the college's overall annual giving appeals.
  • Support CYE and FYE Annual Giving Appeals and Outreach
  • Create content and designs for supporting materials as needed by the team. This may include PowerPoint slides, multi-channel graphics, etc.
  • Coordinate Annual Second Century Club solicitation and stewardship
  • Coordinate the annual Welcome to the Alumni Network initiative
  • Manage the data segmentation and creation of personalized solicitations for GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) population through email, social platforms, etc.
  • Collaborate with Terry's Advancement team to create strategic event follow-ups that highlight giving initiatives
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners and vendors as needed
  • Analyze and provide reporting on the performance of each project

Plan and Implement Terry's Solicitation Efforts by Program/Department

  • In line with Terry's philanthropic priorities, coordinate large-scale multi-channel campaigns to solicit alumni based on major/program affiliation in order to grow departmental excellence funds and endowments
  • Partner with Terry's priority department and program liaisons to identify key materials and content for campaign strategies.
  • Provide reports on progress to goals and strategy for each applicable area
  • Coordinate special giving campaigns as they arise (1-3 annually) through UGA's GeorgiaFunder platform.
  • Partner with Departments participating in class gift campaigns through their full cycle.

Manage Terry's Recurring Giving Program, Ten for Terry

  • Serve as main liaison for Ten for Terry, and partner with Director of Annual Giving to provide updates and reporting to the Young Alumni Board's Philanthropy committee
  • Ensure program continues to provide a minimum of $125,000 annually to the Terry College Excellence Fund and grow donor base to support departments via Ten for Terry+
  • Coordinate all marketing solicitations, including newsletters, magazine presence, and fund-specific solicitations
  • Identify new ways to promote programs and grow participation.
  • Contact any donors who drop out of the program or have lapsed credit cards to attack attrition
  • Conduct donor recognition/donor relations for TFT donors, including annual touchpoints
