Job Summary

The Enterprise Data Governance and Quality (EDG) team is part of the Data Innovation Office within Enterprise Data and Analytics organization (EDNA). Our mission is to implement an enterprise model for the governance of data at Equinix and to elevate data as a critical asset. To build trust in data through standardized practices across global programs and lines of businesses, we are seeking a Data Quality Analyst to support the organization in maintaining highquality, trusted data across key systems. This role assists with data quality monitoring, issue investigation, documentation, and the execution of data governance processes. The analyst works closely with senior team members, data stewards, and data owners to ensure data quality standards are followed and issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Responsibilities


  • Create, update, and maintain data quality rules (DQ FRD), metadata, and standards across data domains

  • Work closely with data owners and stewards to drive corrective actions and remediation while establishing issue tracking, steps to remediate, and root-cause insights

  • Assist with data cleansing and enrichment tasks across any prioritized data migration initiative

  • Monitor and report data quality metrics and thresholds

  • Assist in designing and building effective reporting solutions with business context for accelerating resolution of issues

  • Participate in process reviews and contribute suggestions to streamline data quality workflows and improve data governance maturity

  • Support senior analysts in gathering requirements from data stewards and assist in defining measurable DQ metrics and thresholds

  • Perform data validation, profiling, and documentation activities under guidance.

  • Validate consistency of data quality rules across Source Systems (SORs)

  • Assist in managing version control for DQ rules, definitions, and triage protocols.

  • Maintain all data quality assets within the data catalog

  • Prepare initial drafts of DQ reports or summaries for review

  • Willingness to learn and apply data quality best practices through handson work and mentorship


Qualifications

Required Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics or related field

    1-2yrs related work experience or internships or related academic/Capstone projects


  • Basic SQL skills and willingness to grow technical proficiency

  • Familiarity with or exposure to data quality concepts, dashboards, or rulebased validations

  • Ability to analyze datasets, identify issues, and communicate findings clearly.

  • Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and eagerness to learn

  • Good communication and collaboration skills


Preferred Skills


  • Foundational cloud certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Digital Leader, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals)

  • Introductory SQL certifications (e.g., Microsoft DP900, Google BigQuery SQL)

  • Entrylevel Data Governance or CDMP Associate certification


This posting is a new position within our organization.

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 70,000 - 105,000 USD / Annual

United States - Tampa Office TAO : 70,000 - 105,000 USD / Annual

Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 73,000 - 109,000 CAD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
