Responsibilities Peraton is hiring a Software Architect to work in a hybrid capacity both on-site and limited remote in Santa Clara, CA or Reston, VA. Join Peraton's innovative team and lead the architectural modernization of the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) while ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of today's operational system. TMPC is the mission planning and execution component of the Tomahawk Weapon System (TWS). As a Software Architect, you will define the architecture and guide the transformation of a mission-critical system into a microservices-based capability. You will provide technical leadership across the engineering team, mentor developers, and drive adoption of modern engineering practices including AI-assisted development and secure DevSecOps pipelines. What you'll do: As a Software Architect, you will serve as the technical leader responsible for system architecture, modernization strategy, and architectural decision-making across the full life-cycle of the platform. Target Salary Range $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
