Duties, Responsibilities & Other KCI is seeking a motivated Transit Architecture Intern to join our team for Summer 2026. This position provides hands-on experience supporting architectural projects focused on bus and rail transit facilities, including stations, maintenance facilities, passenger amenities, and related infrastructure. Interns will gain exposure to the architectural design process from early planning through construction documentation while working alongside experienced architects and multidisciplinary teams. Summer interns will work a 40-hour week, with at least 10 weeks required during the period from mid-May through the end of August. Interns will be assigned a dedicated supervisor and mentor, are required to attend planned activities, and must submit mid-summer and end-of-summer reports/presentations. Responsibilities include:
Assist with architectural design tasks for transit-related facilities, including bus terminals, rail stations, and supporting infrastructure Qualifications Education and/or Skills Required: * This is an entry level position where no previous experience is required. * Currently enrolled in an ABET-Accredited College Engineering Program Education and/or Work Experience Preferred: * 3.0 GPA or higher Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required: * Valid Driver's License * Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment. | |||||||||||||
